Hi there, I’m Kristen

I’m a licensed psychotherapist, energy healer and coach. Having trained in various modalities, I work with a humanistic and holistic approach, embracing your unique therapeutic needs.

I’m here to help you overcome challenges and provide you with tools to live a meaningful, ever-evolving life. I want to know your story, and support you in writing your next chapter.

My Orientation

  • Relational Life Therapy (RLT, created by Terry Real) goes beyond surface-level fixes and helps partners identify and dissolve unhealthy patterns, take responsibility for their roles in conflict, and forge a deeper, more balanced connection. RLT challenges both partners to grow, while providing concrete tools to do the work, fostering intimacy, respect, and lasting change.

  • A trauma-informed approach prioritizes safety, trust, and empowerment, recognizing how past experiences shape emotional and physical well-being. Methods such as IFS, EMDR, and somatic awareness help us to process wounds at a safe pace, build resilience, and create lasting change—without the risk of re-traumatization.

  • Insight-oriented therapy is about digging deep and getting honest. Instead of putting a Band-Aid on the problem, we uncover the why behind your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By shining a light on old patterns and unconscious beliefs, you gain the clarity to break cycles, make empowered choices, and step into a more authentic, aligned version of yourself.

  • The Internal Family Systems approach (IFS, developed by Richard Schwartz) views the mind as comprised of diverse parts, each with its own voice, needs, and protective role. Rather than trying to silence anxiety, self-criticism, or past wounds, we explore them with curiosity and compassion. By reconnecting with your core Self—the wise, grounded, confident part of you—we help these different parts to heal, release old burdens, and restore balance, so that you can move through life with clarity and ease.

  • An attachment-based approach explores how early relationships shape the way we connect, trust, and navigate intimacy. Whether you struggle with insecurity, emotional distance, or fear of abandonment, we work to uncover the roots of these patterns and create healthier ways of relating. By building self-awareness and strengthening your ability to feel safe in connection, therapy helps you to shift from reactive, unconscious attachment styles to more secure, fulfilling relationships—with others and yourself.

  • Mindfulness-based therapy helps you become more present, aware, and grounded in your daily life. Instead of getting caught up in anxious thoughts or past regrets, we focus on building a connection to the here and now. Through practices like breathwork, meditation, and body awareness, you’ll learn to observe emotions without being overwhelmed by them, cultivate self-compassion, and respond to life’s challenges with greater clarity and balance.

  • Authentic spirituality helps you to embrace yourself as you are, while staying open to deeper meaning and transformation. By integrating spiritual exploration—including mindfulness, energy awareness, synchronicity, and the law of attraction—we create space for healing beyond just the mind. Radical acceptance allows you to release resistance, make peace with difficult emotions, and align with the flow of life. This helps you cultivate clarity, resilience, and a connection to something greater within yourself and beyond.

  • Narrative therapy views your life as a story—one that you have the power to write and rewrite. Together, we explore the stories that shape your sense of self, uncover limiting beliefs, and shift perspectives so that you can step into a more empowered version of yourself. Meaning making can be a sacred form of self-exploration. As an example, for those who are comfortable with it, Tarot cards can serve as a reflective tool in this process, offering symbolism and insight to help you connect with your intuition, reframe challenges, and gain understanding. This approach helps you reclaim your voice, reshape your story, and move forward with intention and self-reliance.

My Story

My journey has been a reckoning and a delicate, sometimes excruciating, unfolding—meeting my own pain, owning the harm I’ve caused, and learning to meet myself with love and acceptance, instead of shame. For a long time, I tried to tie myself into perfect knots, tie others into perfects knots, and almost suffocated in the process.

I had to learn to stay with my heart, to hold with reverence and love the parts I once pushed away, to meet my own wounds with honesty, tenderness, and levity—to look at myself in the mirror and not dodge left or right. But to stay. And in that, I found an unexpected freedom. Not in perfection, not in atoning, but in allowing—in finally embracing and celebrating myself, wounded parts and all.

I feel deeply called to this work. I’m not just a healer by the book but by the soul. I know what it is to feel lost, to hurt, and I know that no one is beyond healing. My work has then become to walk with others, not as someone with all the answers, but as someone who has been there.

My Values

INTEGRITY

Integrity and accountability go hand in hand—I believe in walking my talk and staying in alignment with myself and my values. I show up honest and authentic, even if it’s messy. And just as I challenge you, I welcome you to challenge me—growth is a two-way street.

HUMOR, LEVITY, PLAY

Someone once told me that therapy shouldn’t be funny- but for me nothing could be further from the truth. Life is so absurd and laughter is so healing. Let’s laugh together- and then maybe get curious about that “part”.

COMPASSION & NON-JUDGMENT

I’ve messed up in my life—I hold no judgment for your mistakes. The only way through is in compassion.

HEALING & GROWTH

I’ve had folks tell me therapy makes them feel worse. Yep! Discomfort is a prerequisite for healing. Growth doesn’t happen in the comfort zone. We must be willing to be uncomfortable—because that’s where the magic happens.

CURIOUSITY

“I know nothing” is a powerful place to begin. Asking “Why?” and holding space for the unexpected is a crucial piece of this work.

LOVE

Love is the beginning and the end: the foundation of my path and my practice.
